The Workshop of Drawings and Pictures in Crisis

The Workshop of Drawings and Pictures in Crisis was founded in 1983 and had a different name (Officinae Pictorum) and took its current name in 1995. It has given its name at a central work of George Hadjimichalis and at the same time it is the name of the artist’s own workshop. The workshop has been in crisis since its foundation but has managed to survive despite the adverse circumstances. It published books – usually in collaboration with Agra publications and CD music out of commerce. But its main activity is the creation of a series of archive of faces, pictures, texts and ideas that he uses for the creation of his works.
