Eleftheria Tseliou Gallery is happy to present ‘Unfold’, Eozen Agopian’s second solo show at the gallery. The exhibition opens on Tuesday, March 19 and will be on display till the 24th of April 2019.
"My background as a young woman of Armenian descent, born in Greece, immigrating to the US at the age of nineteen, provides me with a multifaceted perspective. Having the experience of three different cultures gives me the ability to compare, filter and identify within three different internal landscapes. The uneasiness of not fully belonging to a single place has an impact on the composition of my works, in the sense that I am constantly striving to create precariously balanced spaces.
I believe that art is supposed to harness, caress and touch those transparent threads that connect the human subconscious with the universal mystery in order to make the human condition more bearable and meaningful."

This show presents Eozen Agopian’s latest work, where she deals with space through a labyrinth of threads, shapes and colors. Her work, despite the elements and the references to the History of Modernism, remains primal and autonomous.
